Plotting, The City, And You
General Plotting
While players are free and even encouraged to plan all matter of madness concerning their character, their character's world(s), and in between close-knit character groups, one of the features of this game is the ability for players to mastermind and play out larger plots in the main gamespace, namely the Seven-Fold City, which can effect whole sections of the city and even change the gamespace permanently.Any plotting that you'd want to do, big or small, can be posted in

The Mods are responsible for answering any questions on game rules, making any rulings on what would be viable or not viable for a plot, and for any special dispensation that might be required for the plot. If you need a mod, feel free to send a message to the mod account here.
The Player(s) is responsible for keeping track of their plot, keeping their plot information in the appropriate posting locations, and providing any answers or feedback for players with questions specifically concerning the plot.
At this time there are no specific guidelines for what is or isn't allowed in plots, other than this: no player-run plot may take over more than one section of the city at a time. This is to allow players who are uninterested in participating the ability to avoid plots/effects without being pigeonholed into net posts or stuck with limited options.
Homeworlds Plot?
There are no restrictions on what players can choose to do in their homeworlds and to their canon plot. While we would like to urge folks to communicate with their canon mates, this is NOT a requirement so much as a friendly request for folks to check in with each other for better player relations. Why? Because there's no way to keep an entire cast in sync while allowing for the kind of freedom we support, especially when you take into account that someone may wish to app a character from a canon point that another player's plot has removed from existence. Any changes in the homeworld caused by other players in the game that a player does not wish to incorporate into their play causes the splintering of a homeworld: while you might share canon, you no longer share a timeline. It is up to the players in a canon group to keep their timelines straight and to respect the choices of the individual players in that group in regards to their timeline. Splintering off a timeline should not be a matter of contention or stress; sometimes a change in the main timeline just doesn't work for someone or it would make a character unplayable. We like to think that this can be an opportunity to create interesting character dynamics unique to the game as opposed to a point of contention but as with all things, if you feel that other players are negatively impacting your enjoyment of the game, we do urge you to take steps in communicating with the players and, if necessary, the mods.
The mods reserve the right to impose guidelines as the game grows and changes and as the community finds its footing, with an eye towards keeping the game both fun and malleable. We'd like to keep the opportunities for plots as open as possible, so let's keep it clean and keep it fun.
